CD Projekt RED ha anunciado lo que era un secreto a voces, el DLC de The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, titulado Song of the Past que llegará en el año 2027 solamente para PS5, Xbox Series X|S y PC.
El DLC está siendo desarrollado en conjunto con Fool’s Theory, creadores de The Thaumaturge y también principales responsables del remake de la primera aventura de Geralt de Rivia.
Los desarrolladores han tenido que anunciar el DLC tras una filtración en el RED Launcher. Inicialmente, sus planes era revelar el DLC este 28 de mayo con un evento especial.

Según los rumores, los eventos de este DLC transcurrirán en Velen, aunque no se tiene ningún tipo de detalle oficial sobre esta nueva aventura de Geralt.
Finalmente, el estudio confirmó que elevarán los requisitos para los jugadores de PC para asegurarse de ofrecer la mejor experiencia posible. Además, se informó que el DLC no estará disponible en PS4, Xbox One ni Nintendo Switch.
